While Kundalini Yoga was brought to the West in the 1960s, it is a sacred practice that first came from India and has been practiced for thousands of years using breath, movement and sound to align the mind, body and soul. Using ancient technologies such as pranayama (breathwork), kirtan (chanting) and kriyas (complete sequence of postures), we are able to regulate our emotions, support our nervous system and maintain a flexible body. This year we welcome, Mystic to share a workshop focused on opening the heart and expanding the mind.
Please bring water, a mat, tapestry or blanket to practice on, something to cover with during savasana (if desired), and eat light if you must eat before!
I will have some extra mats and blankets to share if anyone is in need.
Workshop break down:
Opening chants: (5mins)
Adi mantra & Mangala Charn mantra
1 Kriya (25-30mins)
1 or 2 meditations (10mins)
Long Time Sunshine Song

It is time to claim our planetary citizenship!
We will explore some formative currents and crystallizations of earth-centric self-perceptions (indigenous consciousness) @ a global scale. This unified yet diverse cultural genesis is issuing what we are calling ‘Gaian Folk’. Aka the Amazonian ‘bridge people', the Hopi ‘One Hearted’, the Pleiadian ‘way-shower’, ‘the ones we have been waiting for', etc. .
As both earth-honoring first nations and industrial-growth societies, the historical colonized and colonizers, have reached limits of adaptability, they are to degrees dying back, but not before ‘flowering’ and sending the ‘pollen’ of the lessons and expressions of their life spans out into electronic and telepathic airwaves. These are cross-fertilizing, forming seeds of cosmopolitan synergy, and sprouting cultural designs @ such a higher resonance that new archetypes are precipitating to accommodate them.
Likewise, there is a genre of songs emerging as we re-member our Way out of the initiatory ordeal of our collective dream of separation from the planet, from each other. These songs develop a perceptual language that ‘stories’ the ‘people of the earth tribe’, the Gaian folk, into new time-lines of existence. They provide guiding narratives of mythic renewal, get us out of the 3-D head space and into heart-centered multidimensionality, and are native to a future-healed earth whose time is NOW.
We will focus on teachings and songs (and together sing a few) that run the Gaian Folk ‘program’, and creative ways to claim this identity in these potent times. .
mt xen (Morgan Brent) ~ mt received a PhD in anthropology (spiritual ecology) from U of Hawaii, Manoa, specializing in plant-inspired cultural revitalization movements (herbal renaissances). He left academia soon after graduating, and now specializes in working with prescriptive teachings that are received in non-verbal ways, and then translated into story and/or song. These include inspirations from the elemental realms, the planetary innernet, medicinal plants, and interstellar sources. In service to this guidance, he also makes medicines of all kinds, among them events both large (Singing Alive & Plants enChant gatherings), and small (Creation-song circles)
This style of qigong is a standing meditation that balances movement and rest. It promotes circulation and energy flow throughout the body while encouraging muscle strength and joint mobility. By creating a map of our bodies, we can cultivate awareness and our connection to the universe and the healing power of nature to balance emotions and support inner healing and wellness.
Emily Ryan, ND, MSOM, LAC is a Naturopathic doctor and Acupuncturist. She practices Classical Chinese Medicine and teaches qigong in Eugene & Springfield, OR.
In gratitude to my qigong teachers: Heiner Fruehauf, Laurie Regan, Bill Frazier, Tamara Staudt, Greg Sax and lineage holder of the Jinjing style of Qigong, Daoist medicine elder Professor Wang Qingyu.
Learn about the power of love to transform our lives through this collective enlivening experience. We’ll begin with a somatic embodiment exercise to connect with our bodies and unite in a safe, judgement-free space.
After a brief discussion of Love as a Spiritual Path, we’ll enjoy a guided heart-centered meditation to fill our shared space with love. In this empowered state, we’ll then embark on a visualization journey to heal the wounds that hinder us from accepting ourselves fully and loving ourselves unconditionally.
You’ll come away from this workshop with practices to continue your healing journey and bring more love into your everyday life.
